One of Denmarkâs most influential late 20th century product designers, Jacob Jensen applied an elegant, pared-down style to all his electronic products. Born in 1926, he studied in Copenhagen before teaching in the US. As chief designer of Bang & Olufsen in the 1960s and 1970s, he was responsible for its sleek signature style and for technical innovations such as the tangential pick-up arm on the 1972 Beogram 4000 record player.
